Mt Tam Bikes Camp carries insurance and obtains park permits and permissions for all the trails that we ride. We are owner operated, and every staff member goes through an extensive training process. All of our coaches have been back round checked and are adult and child CPR certified first responders. Every staff member that transports campers has defensive driver training and  a clean driving record.

Transporting to new destinations each day keeps the rides diverse, off-road and enables us to tour the best trails around Marin County. On day one, we start by getting to know one another on the way to the trails. A big part of having a successful week at camp is feeling comfortable and included. Small group sizes helps to keep the campers engaged, and our expert coaches make sure all of the riders are having a great time. After an overview of camp rules, trail etiquette, and safety, we practice proper braking, shifting, and body position drills. After assessing each campers skill level, we divide into groups by ability and head out on the trails. This enables us to tailor each session to the group’s ability, ensuring a fun-filled week for all. Safety on and off the bike is always our number one priority. Over the last six years we have developed and refined coaching and guiding techniques that keep riders safe and present while they progress their skills. Amazing counselors, transporting riders to the best trails, teaching basic bike mechanics and free bike safety checks are just a few of the things that set us apart from other programs. A commitment to providing a real mountain biking experience in a fun, personalized, supportive environment is what we are known for. Our difference is in the details.
